Mike Evans, Founder of Fan Day Nation

As the founder of Fan Day Nation, Mike knows that being a fan is all about community, connection, and unforgettable moments.
A Lifetime of Sports & Memories
Like many people, my earliest memories are of watching sports with my family. Those times created lifelong memories of family meals, laughter, and watching players and coaches compete at the highest level.
Favorite Teams as a Passionate Fan
I ride with Denver sports—Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, and Colorado Rockies.
Unforgettable Fan Moment
The parades after the Denver Broncos’ Super Bowl win in 2016 and the Denver Nuggets’ NBA Championship in 2023. Watching people of all backgrounds come together to celebrate was incredible.
Advice for Fellow Fans
Be in the moment and enjoy the moment. Create great memories with your loved ones.
Nicole Taybron, Community Manager

Whether she’s managing the community or talking sports, Nicole is always bringing insight, passion, and great energy to the team.
From Fantasy Football to Sports Talk Radio
I am a mother and wife of football fanatics. I’m that girl who plays fantasy football, watches sports commentary, and tunes into games every weekend. Growing up, I always rooted against my brother’s favorite teams—just to mess with him!
Favorite Teams & Fandoms
I’m an overall sports fan, but my favorites are the NFL, NBA, WNBA, college football, women’s college basketball, men’s college basketball, and hockey. I’m also a huge fan of ‘70s and ‘80s kung fu movies, especially Shaw Brothers films. Kill Bill got me into researching all of Quentin Tarantino’s inspirations!
What Being a Fan Means
It’s about belonging. You’re among people who understand the ups and downs, the joy and pain of unscripted entertainment.
A Special Family Moment
Watching my nephew’s high school football team win the state championship and later seeing him play in the college semifinals. Being there for those moments was everything.
Matthew Fujioka, Athlete Affiliation Specialist

A lifelong sports fan and stats enthusiast, Matthew brings his analytical mind and enthusiasm to the Fan Day Nation team.
A Passion for Sports & Stats
I’m currently a college student working toward a marketing degree, and I love staying engaged with sports stats—especially for soccer, basketball, and football. When I’m not keeping up with games, I spend time with my girlfriend, friends, and family.
Favorite Teams & Sports
The Lakers and Packers. I also played soccer my whole life, so I have a deep love for the sport.
Words to Live By
“We all have self-doubt. You don’t deny it, but you also don’t capitulate to it. You embrace it.” – Kobe Bryant
A Fan Moment I’ll Never Forget
Kobe’s last game. I remember watching it and thinking, this dude is still unbelievable.
Jalen Reyes, Community & Athlete Relations Associate

Jalen’s passion for basketball and sports culture shines through in everything he does at Fan Day Nation.
A True LA Sports Fan
I’m a recent marketing graduate from Cal Poly Pomona and a die-hard LA sports fan. Basketball has always been a huge part of my life—when I’m not working, you’ll find me coaching, playing, or diving deep into the NBA.
Favorite Team
Los Angeles Lakers all the way!
A Moment to Remember
Watching the Lakers win back-to-back championships in 2009 and 2010 with my family. Kobe Bryant defined that era.
Why Fandom Matters
Cherish the moments and share your fandom with the world—everyone has something they love!
Mikayla Nagl, Sports Reporter & Content Creator

Mikayla brings her love of sports and storytelling to Fan Day Nation—always with a fun and vibrant energy!
Living & Breathing Sports
I’m a sports reporter, and I love all things sports. Outside of work, I snowboard, hike, read, and take care of my puppy.
What Being a Fan Means
It’s about being part of something bigger than yourself. Loyalty, passion, and celebrating wins with strangers and loved ones alike.
Favorite Teams & Sports
The Indianapolis Colts.
How It All Started
I moved to Indiana in 2007 when the Colts beat the Bears in the Super Bowl. Seeing the entire city celebrate something so huge, I became a Colts fan right then and there—and I haven’t looked back since.
Words of Encouragement
Someday, it’ll be our turn too.
